Urgent Hip Hop Stories

Adhering to ultimate week’s unpredicted marriage ceremony proposal on VH1′s “Love & Hip Hop 2,” rapper Jim Jones had one more great surprise in store for his fiancé Chrissy Lampkin. After watching the lead up to him popping the question, plus Chrissy’s tearful acceptance, we learn–along with Chrissy–that a whole room full of her friends and family were brought down to Miami to celebrate their second and most official engagement to date. “It’s like the princess kissing the frog,” Jim explained. “I’ve got my own fairy tale going on.” And, this time, even his cantankerous Mama Jones seems like she won’t stand in the way of happily ever after.

“He put his ego aside, he put his persona aside, and he put our adore first,” Chrissy said. “And I will forever appreciate him for that.”

Meanwhile, Kimbella Vanderhee seemed a step closer to dealing with her troubled childhood by telling her mother that she really could’ve used guidance when it came to dealing with relationships. Later, when she met with Erica Mena (see: bloody catfight in episode six) at the request of Yandy Smith, Kimbella seemed calmer and ready to apologize and move on, though there’s little chance these two will ever be best friends.

Common isn’t unfamiliar with the rap beef – in 1994, he released “I Used to Enjoy H.E.R.” – a song reminiscing on his appreciate for hip-hop, and its perceived downfall at the hands of West Coast gangsta rap. Naturally, rap outfit Westside Connection answered the call, and the beef grew heated until a truce was mediated by Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan.

However, it’s not 1994, and Common isn’t a young rapper trying to find his way. He’s an established entertainer, fielding White House invites and Hollywood movie and television scripts – why is Drake even on his radar?

It’s unclear why Common is coming after Drake in the first place. It’s fine not to be a fan of the guy, but trying to implicate him for what you feel is the downfall of the hip-hop genre is not just lazy, it’s simplistic. It reeks of jealousy. Drake may not be the greatest rapper alive, but he certainly isn’t driving hip-hop to hell in a hand-basket. Common’s allegations seem like a misguided attempt for attention.

Another theory about why Common is coming after Drake has to do with Common’s ex-girlfriend. Drake was recently quoted in a Complex magazine article saying, “I really, really really like and care for Serena Williams,” without elaborating on their relationship. Cue angry ex-boyfriend Common, launching an attack on the new guy who may have taken his girl and is now flaunting it.

Despite the heartbreak, it’s still not worthy of a rap feud. Really enjoy hurts, Common, and hip-hop changes. Drake is likely the rapper of the moment, but eventually he’ll have to pass the crown to someone else. It’s the nature of the game. Common should be beyond feeling the need to defend his place in hip-hop, especially when he wasn’t attacked by a truly formidable opponent.

The NYPD is trying to find 3 guys witnessed inside a video brutally beating a man around the L train following he scolded them for spitting. The incident occurred on November 2nd at close to 2am on a Brooklyn-bound train close to the Myrtle-Wycoff quit in Ridgewood, Queens, in accordance with ABC seven.

The footage was uploaded to Globe Star Hiphop and it is doubly disturbing since the ladies recording the battle will be heard laughing and commenting within the background.

Gothamist aptly groans, “WorldStarHipHop‘s recognition has made a type of voyeuristic feedback loop, in which disassociated bystanders straight away videotape violent incidents and act as if they are currently watching a video on the net.” In the 50 2nd mark, one of many girls yells, “World Star infant!”

Ugh, very well, at the very least she held her cellphone horizontally when gleefully documenting another person else’s suffering. As outlined by ABC seven, the video was recorded just immediately after two a.m. on November 8th on an L train close to the Myrtle Wyckof cease, and it could result in assault charges if police ever uncover the perpetrators. CBS two reports that there’s no word around the extent on the victim’s injuries. Around the plus side, the video’s gotten more than 47,000 views on Planet Star, infant!

The victim fights back but is outnumbered and it is repeatedly kicked inside the head. Following the altercation, the assailants run away and disoriented, the man sits down in an empty auto, every one of the bystanders acquiring left. No word nevertheless as towards the extent of his injuries.

Cuckoo Clocks and daylight savings time

Category: Uncategorized — Tags: , , – franny @ 4:40 pm

Believed of fondly but extra grandpa than got-to-have, cuckoo clocks are not characteristic of present day dwellings. However the rap for getting outdated that these hourly squawkers earned is about to alter, because of a flock of impossibly cool cuckoos which are totally worthy of a array of decors from refined to whimsical.

Riffing off standard European versions, the Village Cuckoo Clock, produced by Torre and Tagus and on the market from Digs for 5, is updated within a sleek, minimalist package. The typical facts, from a prominent stag head to pairs of earthy pinecone weights and an accompanying swinging pendulum, are even now present, but coolly subdued in monochromatic palettes of strong black or whitewashed wood. Somewhat of colour will fly the bird-and-leaf-carved coop around the hour when a white- and green-winged bird emerges for its battery-powered electronic chirp. It measures 17 inches broad, about 9 inches deep and 36 inches large.

Cell Phones gain in use

Two reports have come out from Times Moblility which show the immense impact Apple’s iPhone has had on the mobile market. The first report from comScore indicates that one in ten mobile customers in the US owns an iPhone of some kind. That’s not just smartphone customers; that’s all mobile customers. Given that just four years ago pundits laughed off Apple’s goal of gaining a modest one percent of the market, that’s a pretty incredible milestone.

comScore’s numbers show Apple is fourth in overall handset market share in the US, behind the Samsung Galaxy S2, LG, and Motorola. The firm’s other numbers seem to indicate that a large portion of that gap is due to those companies splitting the still huge feature phone market between them, while Apple naturally sells only the iPhone.

Google continues to “win” the market share race among US smartphone owners, with Android handsets claiming nearly half of all subscribers compared to Apple’s more modest 27 percent share. However, another report from Canaccord Genuity (via Forbes) shows that Apple’s “loss” to Android in terms of market share means next to nothing; Apple earns 52 percent of all profits in the mobile phone industry. Once again, that’s not just smartphone profits, but all profits for all phones.

Samsung is the closest thing Apple has to a competitor when we talk about the actual amount of money companies make from handset sales, with 29 percent of the industry’s profits. (Clearly, Samsung’s, er, strategy is working out well.) All other handset makers are holding on to an extremely small share of mobile industry profits.

Stuffed Animals by The Eggplant

Diamonds are a thing of the past.  A gal’s closest pal in 2006 has to be the celebrity blog.  Girls in the know are not obtaining their daily dish from the newspaper or the morning television news, but instead from fabulous bloggers.  Who is Paris Hilton’s boyfriend of the moment?  Has anyone seen Suri Holmes-Cruise?  Did Angelina and Brad get secretly married over the weekend?  These are the questions in the minds of many young people in their 20s and 30s.  What the President of the United States said on television the night before is not even a passing thought.

Is it just me or is this change in culture a welcome departure from the depressing events in the world today?  I would rather have a huge helping of celebrity drama with my cheerios in the morning than discovering that once again George W. has lied to our country.  Some patriotic Americans may disagree with me and be disgusted with the idea that blogs are the new information superhighway, but I know I am not alone in my newfound realization.

Blogs not only bring information to the masses in a quick, appealing, and easy to read format, but they are full of real opinions.  Commentary accompanies the facts.  We are not alone in thinking those catty thoughts about Lindsay Lohan’s hair.  Someone else actually wrote down what everyone else was thinking.

Now, my opinion may come across as condoning high school level gossip, but I believe that anyone who puts himself or herself in the public eye in order to gain fame and fortune is a walking target.  Millions of dollars and a life of luxury do not come without sacrifices.  If positive fame is desired, then unfortunately, it can’t come without negative attention here and there.

Oddly enough, the bloggers are now gaining fame for themselves.  Popular blogs such as www.pinkisthenewblog.com are giving their creators a ticket into the Hollywood elite.  These blogs have a cult following and their readers are even requesting promotional t-shirts for their favorite sites.  When was the last time a newscaster obtained such a fanatic showing of support?  Sure, Katie Couric and Matt Lauer are pretty popular and well liked, but I haven’t noticed any gear covered with their names being spread around.

I can’t help but find this phenomenon a little comedic.  Hollywood is all about fantasy and turning rags into riches.  The lives of celebrities are far more enticing than the unfortunate events in real life.  The public goes to movies to escape the real world, and it’s not a surprise that the interest in the actors carries over into an everyday obsession.

Celebrities themselves also seem to buy into the Hollywood obsession.  Most actors and actresses are involved in romantic relationships and close friendships with others in the same industry.  The fact that celebrities often get caught up in their own façade of a fantasy life leaves them open to the vivacious, but also scathing comments from today’s bloggers.

We may not all have “fantasy” lives like those of Jennifer Aniston, Paris Hilton, and Colin Farrell, but we can definitely live vicariously through them via blogs galore.

A token of gratitude

Category: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:52 pm

I watched my parents as they worked hard to provide for the family’s needs. When we were little, we would sometimes take those sacrifices for granted. The toys that they bought, for example, would get broken within a week. As I grew up, I slowly realized the hard work our parents were showing. Since then, I wanted to show them how thankful I was for everything they gave us. During their latest anniversary, my sister and I thought of ways to show our appreciation. We agreed to save whatever money was left from our allowance and give our parents something with a customized label or saying. Days before their anniversary, my sister and I went to the mall to buy something for our parents. We immediately found a store who sold customized kitchen spice racks for a reasonable price. Knowing that the spice rack was the only customizable item we could buy with our savings, we went for it. As soon as we got home, we noticed that our parents we still at work so we wrapped the wall spice rack and decorated it with ribbons. On the night of their anniversary, my sister and I both presented our token of gratitude to our parents.

School lockers — best options to prevent stealing incidents

Category: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:15 pm

My mom, who is a teacher, got so worried with the incident of lost items of students. One student said that when she left her bag inside her classroom during break time, her pocket inside was lost which really freaked everybody. There is also a student who lost his bag when he put it in a bench for a while when he played a game. There was also a worst incident in which laptops of students were stolen. My mom felt so disgusted with those incidents because the reputation of the school was really at stake. So my mom suggested that they should be installing lockers inside the school where students could put their things safely.

There are various types of lockers available on the market today and steel lockers are really popular in school because they are very durable and safe. Since my mom was looking for lockers that are made from durable material with safety locks, steel lockers are the best solution. She searched on the Internet because she was told that there are web sites that are offering discounts and warranty. Finally, she found an incredible site that offers huge selection of lockers from small lockers to huge athletic lockers . The site also offers various designs, styles, sizes, and shapes of lockers to fit the school area.

Expand your business with the help of dedicated hosting

Category: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:20 pm

A dedicated hosting is recommended for companies that are engaged in electronic commerce. A web hosting provider allows its clients to use their disk space and other resources while having sufficient server security. In a web host plan, you will have the opportunity to operate your own web site without having a huge server that is very expensive to maintain.

When looking for the best service provider for your company, the things that you should consider are your goals and requirements of your web site. Also, you nee to find a web host provider that monitors your web site’s operation from time to time to avoid unnecessary system failures. Moreover, an ideal hosting company should have a back up contingency system that is capable of keeping the contents of your site safe in case any trouble occurs. I found most of this out by talking to friends who had used a website hosting directory to pick the best hosts.

When you are planning to switch to dedicated hosting and you’re a little bit confused where to find the ideal dedicated hosting, you should dig deeper on the Internet. There are various suggestions in online forums that would guide you which services are better. In addition, searching online is very much advantageous compared to just relying on advertisements in newspapers because it is very limited.

I’m so glad that I took the right steps to get everything done, now that I’ve set up a joomla host as well as purchased a server for wordpress, everything has been running smoothly.
